The problem

Scheduling endpoints were doing synchronous work on the request path, so every booking interaction paid the full cost of availability computation.

What I built

Moved scheduling work onto Celery workers backed by Redis and optimized the availability computation, with Square OAuth handling franchise-level payment authorization.

Impact

Scheduling API response times improved 70%.
